Highlights of the Cochlear Implant Program

* The First Cochlear Implant performed in 2001 on Post Lingual adult from Gujarath.

* The first Cochlear Implantation in a Child was performed in early 2002.

* In 2006 KKR ENT Hospital becomes the first Hospital in Asia to implant a fully Implantable Hearing Aid.

* In 2006 the first BAHA ( Bone Anchoring Hearing Aid) is implanted

* In 2007 KKR ENT Hospital is the first Hospital to implant Advanced Bionics HiRes Cochlear Implant in India.

* In 2008 KKR ENT Hospital completed 100 Cochlear Implants.

* In 2009 KKR ENT Hospital is the fist Hospital to introduce the 120 Channel HiRes from Advanced Bionics in India.

* In 2010 KKR ENT Hospital performed its first Bilateral Cochlear Implant on a Post Lingual adult from Dubai.

* The KKR ENT Hospital is also the first Hospital to introduce the latest technology for better speech in noise- Clear Voice.
